·         Local Name: Garden Tea and also known as sage, common sage, garden sage, golden sage, kitchen sage, true sage, culinary sage, Dalmatian sage, and broadleaf sage.

·         Description: Garden tea is an evergreen perennial shrub that belongs to Lamiaceae family, it has wooded branches and greyish leaves. Also it is a fragrance plant with purplish blue flowers. Salvia flowers in late spring or summer.

·         Parts Used: Leaves

·         Components: This plant contains H2O, protein, carbohydrates, calcium, iron, magnesium, phosphorus, potassium, sodium and zinc elements and also some  vitamins which are A, B3 and C.

·         Harvest Time: June to October when the plant is ready to flower.

·         Geographic spread: It is found in Northern Turkey.
