·         Description: The upper surface of the leaves are small, hard, dark green with smooth edges and above surface is lighter green also it has stripes which are all located at the center of the plant.

·         Components: Leaves and flowers contain tannin (leaves 14-16 percent), resin and they are produce essential oil. Fruits contain vitamin A, tannin, sugar and acids.

·         Geographic spread: It grows spontaneously in The Black Sea, the Aegean and the Mediterranean region
