·         Description: Quercus infectoria is an evergreen Shrub growing to 1.8m. Acorns are 1-2 cm diameter, 1.5-2.5 cm long and Brown. It matures in one year.

·         Components: It contains gallic tannin between %60-70 and gallic acid between % 2-4, also includes starch, sugar and calcium.

·         Harvest Time: Usually second week of August

·         Geographic spread:  Thrace, Marmara and Northwestern Anatolia
