Valonia Acorn

·         Description: Acorn berries are 3 cm long cylinder-shaped, light brown and it has an acrid taste. It composed of two parts which are acorn and cupule. Both parts called acorn.

·         Parts Used: Acorns

·         Components: Cupule contains plenty of tannin and fruits contain Gallic tannin and sugar. 

·         Harvest Time: It matures once in two years. Harvest time is the months between August and September.

·         Geographic spread:  West and South West Anatolia.
